Work of great gestural freshness, in which Josep Guinovart combines stroke, matter and color from a free and expansive language. The composition is articulated by means of large clear areas, ochre and gray backgrounds, and signs of intense chromatism -reds, yellows, blues and blacks- that introduce a dynamic tension between drawing and painting.

The piece reflects Guinovart's interest in turning the surface into a space for experimentation, where paper, stain, line and matter dialogue without hierarchies. The schematic forms and almost calligraphic strokes refer to his most characteristic plastic universe, open to the evocation of signs, objects, interior landscapes and visual memories.

Josep Guinovart was a key figure in Catalan art in the second half of the 20th century. His work, linked to informalism and material experimentation, always maintained a deep connection with the land, memory and materials. He is represented in institutions such as the MNAC, the MACBA, the Reina Sofia Museum and the Espai Guinovart in Agramunt.
