Marcel Liégeon was a French painter ascribed to the modern school, whose artistic production is characterized by a poetic exploration of the landscape and abstraction. His work is situated within the modern European currents of the twentieth century, combining lyrical sensibility and formal experimentation.
He worked mainly with oil on large format canvas and mixed techniques, sometimes incorporating collages and material resources that enrich the pictorial surface. His compositions, often entitled Paysage imaginaire, develop abstract and evocative scenarios where nature appears reinterpreted through free forms, suggestive colors and an atmosphere charged with symbolism.
