The composition presents a reclining female figure, captured in an intimate and contemplative attitude that transmits calm and recollection.
The artist resorts to defined and fluid contours to structure the body, reducing anatomical details to essential forms. This visual synthesis recalls certain explorations of Amedeo Modigliani and Pablo Picasso, especially in the interest in the stylization of the human figure and the modern reinterpretation of the nude and the portrait. However, the work maintains a sensibility of its own, more serene and lyrical than experimental.
The palette of neutral and soft tones contributes to the introspective atmosphere of the scene. The absence of accessory elements concentrates attention on the figure's posture and the rhythm of the curves, creating a balanced and harmonious composition. The reclining gesture of the face on the arms suggests rest, introspection or even silent melancholy.
