An intimate and quiet composition in which Pedro Txillida articulates the surface through glazes, textural fragments, areas of writing, and two isolated figures. The work combines image, text, and empty space, creating a scene suspended between minimal narrative and inner reflection.

The composition is organized around an almost mural-like structure, with large light surfaces, overlapping papers, and areas of eroded material that lend depth and visual memory. The figures, small in relation to the expanse of the support, reinforce the sense of vulnerability and seclusion, while the handwritten texts introduce a poetic and existential dimension.

The son of Eduardo Chillida, Pedro Txillida developed an independent artistic career marked by painting, collage, and an introspective sensibility close to silence, spirituality, and the passage of time. Self-taught, he began exhibiting in the 1980s and has developed a body of work in which figuration, materiality, and visual thought coexist. His work has been presented in galleries and institutions such as the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum and the Pelaires Gallery.
