A textural composition in which Pere Bennàssar brings together references to drawing, visual memory, and the animal world. The work is structured through overlapping planes, with schematic animal figures in the upper section and a complex arrangement of shapes, signs, and textures in the foreground.

The artist combines a restrained palette of grays, blues, blacks, and earth tones with reliefs that reinforce the physical presence of the surface. The images of animals, treated as signs or evocations, engage in a dialogue with the almost archaeological character of the background, resulting in a piece in which the figurative and the abstract coexist naturally.

A Mallorcan painter, sculptor, and ceramicist, Pere Bennàssar creates work marked by materiality, symbolism, intense color, and references to primitive and Mediterranean cultures. His career has been enriched by travels through Europe, Asia, and Morocco, where he has researched traditional ceramic techniques, incorporating echoes of the archaic, the mythical, and the dreamlike into his artistic language. Since the 1980s, he has exhibited in Spain and abroad, with shows in the United States and Mexico, as well as recent projects in Mallorca.
