M. Antonia Hernández i Subirachs constructs a pictorial space of great atmospheric intensity, where abstraction is articulated through broad glazes, masses of color, and seemingly organic gestures. The artist treats the surface as a territory in transformation, in which planes of color, transparencies, and dark areas generate a sense of unstable, almost landscape-like depth, though without ever reaching a definitive figurative reference.

The broad, fluid brushstrokes coexist with suspended forms that seem to emerge or fade within the composition, creating a balance between matter, light, and movement. Shades of green, ochre, pink, black, and blue form a painting of an introspective nature, in which the brushwork responds not only to an expressive impulse but also to a search for rhythm, silence, and spatial tension. This is a work in which abstraction opens up to multiple interpretations, ranging from the evocation of nature and the memory of landscape to the sensory exploration of pictorial matter.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Barcelona, specializing in painting. She is represented by the Espai B gallery in Barcelona.
