In this work, M. Antonia Hernández i Subirachs presents an abstraction of great visual density, constructed from broad swaths of color and suspended forms that seem to float above the surface. The composition is structured by a tension between dark, almost material zones and luminous fields of greens, turquoises, and ochres, creating an enveloping and ambiguous atmosphere.

Far from purely geometric abstraction, the artist develops a gestural and organic language in which the brushstroke takes center stage. Oval shapes and trailing strokes introduce rhythm and depth, as if the image were capturing a movement in progress or a visual memory in transformation. The result is an introspective painting in which the pictorial material, light, and color create a space open to evocation, straddling the line between a suggested landscape and sensory experience.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Barcelona, specializing in painting. She is represented by the Espai B gallery in Barcelona.
