A contemporary Colombian visual artist, John Jaimer Morales develops a pictorial style that moves between gestural abstraction and symbolism. His work is characterized by dynamic forms, overlapping planes, and an intense exploration of color, rhythm, and texture, creating compositions of great visual power. Although part of his body of work has been linked to the representation of Colombian cultural identity and indigenous roots, he also ventures into an abstract language dominated by emotion, energy, and expressive freedom.
In this work, the artist presents an abstract composition in which sinuous lines, patches of color, and hallmarks of blacks, whites, violets, and reds evoke a universe of movement and transformation. The yellow accents create a visual path that suggests a symbolic offering, while the richness of the brushwork invites the viewer to construct their own interpretation of the work.
