In this evocative View of Ruan, Jean-Pierre Dubord offers a deeply poetic interpretation of his hometown, enveloped in a hazy atmosphere where light and color take center stage.
Jean-Pierre Dubord is a painter specializing in Impressionist-inspired landscapes and cityscapes. Trained in the artistic milieu of Normandy, he has devoted much of his career to depicting the landscapes of the Seine Valley, the city of Rouen, and the Normandy coast, developing a style characterized by spontaneous brushwork, a luminous palette, and an extraordinary focus on atmospheric effects. His works have been exhibited in numerous French galleries and art shows, where they are particularly appreciated for their ability to reinterpret the Impressionist tradition from a contemporary perspective. His works are part of private collections in Europe and the United States.
