Llimós first gained recognition in 1964 with a group exhibition featuring, among others, Arranz Bravo, Bartolozzi, and Gerard Sala, with whom he collaborated until 1969. His work is included in prominent collections such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Museum of Modern Art of Espírito Santo in Brazil, the Contemporary Art Collection of Madrid, the Museums of Fine Arts of Álava and Seville, the Fondazione Lucio Amelio in Naples, the Salvador Allende International Museum of the Resistance in Santiago, Chile, the Peter Stuyvesant Foundation in Amsterdam, the Palau Solleric in Palma de Mallorca, and the MACBA in Barcelona, among others. His work, characterized by expressive and intense brushwork, oscillates between figuration and symbolic abstraction.
