Bruno Di Maio (1944–2025) was a prominent Italian painter, printmaker, and watercolorist, widely recognized within the Neorealist movement and the new Italian figurative style. His work stands out for combining classical mastery with dreamlike, fantastical, and allegorical elements. A painter specializing in the female nude, Bruno Di Maio was born in North Africa to Italian parents and currently lives and works in Tuscany. A painter, printmaker, and watercolorist of great technical virtuosity, he trained in Perugia and Rome and began his career as a restorer in the Italian capital. His work is currently represented in public and private collections in Italy, the United States, Japan, and Spain.
