Born in France, where his family moved after the war, the artist Monteagudo settled in Fuentealbilla during the 1970s, in this town in La Mancha, where he devoted himself to capturing light, studying it and reflecting it in his works. Mon­tea­gu­do de­vel­op­ped his ca­re­er in a style close to Im­pres­sion­ism, due to his bold, agile brushstrokes reflected in his compositions, combined with a distinctive form of expressionism, captured in the faces and poses of his characters.
Throughout his career, Montegudo’s works can be found in various international collections in Paris, London, Chicago, New York, Tokyo, Venice, Amsterdam, and Madrid.
With a confident and light touch, Montegudo reveals a constant evolution, changes that are in tune with nature itself.
