“Beach with Fishermen.”
Oil on canvas.
Signed “R. Arenas” in the lower right corner.
Measurements: 81 x 37 cm; 95 x 51 cm (frame).

This painting depicts a twilight scene of everyday life, dramatic in its dramatic lighting, which emanates from an almost abstract sky—open in its central area, turbulent, and ominous. This sky casts vivid, mirror-like reflections on the beach and the sea, transforming men and boats into silhouettes.
