Artist participating in the III Salón de primera de pintura realista, held on May 4, 2018 in the multidisciplinary room of the Centro Cultura Sanchinarro Princesa de Éboli. The exhibition was organized by the association Avatarte, an artistic project, whose purpose lies in promoting the figure of the artist and his works to the maximum, granting exhibition spaces and greater ease in terms of dissemination delas works of artists. The III Spring Salon of Realistic Painting had fifty artists from all over the country exhibited their works for about a month. The exhibition was consummated with the realization of different acts among which stood out different masterclasses and presentations.
Agustín Pontesta began to be interested in the world of painting at a young age and started to participate in courses and seminars given by various artists. Pontesta stands out for being a painter of landscapes and open spaces characterized mostly by isolated places. His paintings reflect a tendency to portray extreme geographies such as deserts, jungles and high mountain ranges. This work is a reflection of that, however it is not depopulated, even though the large group of people is far away from the viewer who cannot recognize the identity of those who populate this landscape.
