Painter and mosaist, favorite son of Alicante, Castelló was author of a solid and kind work, that captured the folklore, the celebrations and the popular types. He was also dedicated to the realization of fallas, introducing a stylized decorative style that would shape the current Alicante style in the bonfires until the fifties. He began his training with the painter Fernando Cabrera, being the only student that he admitted under his tutelage. Already in 1921 he participates in an exhibition, being invited by Emilio Varela to exhibit with him. In 1924 he travels for the first time to Madrid, where he completed his training at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, in his classes of drawing from life. He returned to Alicante in 1928. In 1945 he definitively achieved official recognition, when he was commissioned by the Alicante City Council to create a large triptych to decorate its halls. He participated in national painting competitions, being awarded a silver medal in 1952. Throughout his life he made several trips, making sketches and oil paintings in various parts of Europe, Algeria and Morocco. In 1974 he made a mosaic for the international airport of Altet (Alicante).
