Laura León Ramírez is a Colombian artist, painter and photographer. She studied Plastic Arts at the School of Arts and Crafts of San Cristobal. She receives painting classes from Manuel Osorio Velazco. Continued studies of Applied and Visual Arts at the Experimental Art Center (CEA) of the University of the Andes ULA in Merida 1993. He took free courses of advanced photography specialty: Advertising, Lighting, Architecture and Portrait at the Unit of Visual Arts and Design UNAVID, Universidad de los Andes 1994. Receives drawing, modeling and sculpture classes in the workshop of Manuel de la Fuente. Arrives in Barquisimeto and dedicates herself to commercial photography, as well as graphic design and editorial design. Photographer of great sensitivity, she likes to capture the expressions and the naturalness of people and spaces, collecting the most intimate aspects, appealing to the visual. Through artistic photography she has maintained a very strong bond with the plastic arts, so her research is directed to mixed media photography. Since 2022, he lives in Alicante, where he has begun to dabble in painting, all from his photographic perspective. The architectural details, suggest geometric abstractions that he combines with flat or textured colors, in order to create a unique and differentiating approach. His works are exhibited at the Vearte Gallery, in Alicante.
