The painting "Fata Morgana II" by Jit Nieuwenhuis displays a vibrant and dynamic abstract style. It features a lively mix of yellows, reds, blues, greens and whites, creating a visually stimulating composition. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, suggesting shapes without rigid definition, adding a sense of movement and spontaneity.
Artist Jit Nieuwenhuis, recipient of the "Art of Love Award" in 2001, sees herself as a composer who choreographs her own artistic expression. Her passion lies in the immediacy of expression, revealing a palpable inner strength in her paintings, often created under the influence of music or dance. His subjects include urban landscapes, concerts, theater, dance and sporting events. He often captures the energy of concerts by painting mixed media watercolors from close to the stage. For Jit, painting is an act of liberation, a space where censorship fades away and inspiration emerges. His work has been exhibited in China, the United States and several European countries such as Italy and Portugal. He currently lives and works in Arnhem.
