Andy Bueso's style harmonizes geometric forms with fluid movements and free figuration.
Andy Bueso received a Master's degree from Pratt Institute in New York in 1981. Throughout his career he has received numerous awards and recognitions, among them the First Young Art Prize of Puerto Rico in 1972 and an Honorable Mention in the International Contemporary Art Prize of Monte Carlo in 1990. In 1992, he was named Doctor Honoris Causa by the International Academy of Contemporary Art of Brussels, and in 1999 he was selected for the Who's Who in International Art of Switzerland. His work, which has been exhibited in more than a dozen solo shows and in numerous group exhibitions, both in and outside Puerto Rico, focuses on themes related to the Caribbean.
