Mireia Cifuentes is an abstract-figurative artist whose work moves in an intermediate territory between representation and abstraction. Her painting explores the balance between form, color and emotion, building suggestive images that invite an open and personal reading. Through chromatic hallmarks and refined compositions, the artist develops her own language where the figure is diluted to give way to perception and sensitivity.

She began her artistic training at the Escola d'Art Sanvisens in Barcelona in 1990 and completed it at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios, as well as at the Círculo Artístico de Sant Lluc, where she won the First Prize for Young Painting (2003) and a second prize in the XXVI Premi de Dibuix (2005). Selected by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat, she had her first solo exhibition at the Sala d'Art Lola Anglada. Since then she has presented solo exhibitions in galleries and spaces such as Galería Torreón de los Borja, Galería Ismes, Galería Trébol BCN Art and Eurostars Hotel Gaudí, among others, and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Barcelona, Tarragona, Ibiza, Malaga and other parts of Spain.
