Jaimes Roy was born in 1975 in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. At the age of ten he began to study painting. At fourteen, his art is perfected and guided by the hand of Master Pons Tous. He studied five years at the Faculty of Art (National University of Cordoba). For a year he lives in Palma de Mallorca, working in different local art galleries. He takes a course to improve his technique at The Central Academy of Art in New York. His work is currently part of the permanent collection of the European Museum of Modern Art, MEAM Barcelona Spain. His work was selected to be part of the Tango Salon among more than 5000 participants (1997, Palais de Glace, Buenos Aires). Obtained the special prize of the Argentine Chamber of Construction (1997 Córdoba). Special Mention of the Jury in the VII Biennial of Sacred Art of the Diocese of Morón (1998, Buenos Aires). Honorable Mentions Auton Salon Latin American Art Museum (2002 Miami, USA). His work is selected to be part of the Salon Figurativas 2023 at the European Museum of Modern Art (2023 Barcelona, Spain).
