DESCRIPTION

He began his artistic studies at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Trades in A Coruña (1963-1968), then at the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia (1968-1970) and finally at the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid (1970-1973), obtaining a degree in Fine Arts in 1983. She began her teaching career as an associate professor in Valencia in 1987, became a full professor in 1993 and received her doctorate in 2003, teaching various subjects in the Department of Drawing.
At the same time, she began her artistic career at the age of eighteen, standing out in the XI National Youth Art Contest in Malaga and in the Exhibition of the Center of Initiatives and Tourism in A Coruña, winning several medals and prizes. He held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Spain, especially in the Valencian region, as well as in the United States and South America, and participated in international fairs such as Interarte and ARCO. She received multiple grants and awards throughout her career, and her work can be found in various collections, including the Villafamés Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Elche.
Considered one of the most outstanding Galician painters of the 20th century, her style combines a magical lyricism with influences of Latin American indigenous art and informalism. Her works are characterized by elegant and light surfaces, and an exquisite treatment of color.
