In this painting, Jorge Rivas carries out a "mannerist" stylization of proportions, in addition to a careful construction of space in order to generate an atmosphere between the dreamlike and the theatrical. The scene suggests a symbolic reading around the game, the temptation or the passage of time, reinforced by the presence of everyday objects turned into visual protagonists.

The composition also stands out for the precision of the drawing, the polished pictorial surface and the narrative clarity, usual features in the artist's work, which combines contemporary figurative references with a personal language full of irony and suggestion.

Jorge Rivas has had solo exhibitions in venues such as the Casa de las Tejerinas in Estepona (2025), the Archaeological Museum of Vejer de la Frontera (2024), the Fair Play Resort & Spa Hotel in Benalup-Casas Viejas (2023) and the Alfonso X El Sabio Cultural Center in El Puerto de Santa María (2006). Previously he exhibited in Madrid at the Sala Triángulo, the Casa del Libro (Espasa) and the cultural centers Puerta de Toledo and Julio Cortázar.

He has also participated in group exhibitions such as "Aduana 97" at the Diputación de Cádiz, "Flecha 96" at the Arturo Soria Plaza Shopping Center in Madrid or "956. Cadiz artists of the 90's" at the Provincial Palace of the Diputación de Cádiz.

His work is part of public and institutional collections such as the Diputación de Cádiz, the City Councils of El Puerto de Santa María, San Fernando, Chipiona and Jerez de la Frontera, as well as cultural entities in Madrid and the Community of Madrid. He has also created several cultural posters, among them for the Festival Alternativo de Teatro de Madrid and for the Feria del Vino Fino de El Puerto de Santa María.
