The work of Ezequiel Martinez Llase is part of a contemporary figuration of great technical precision, in which references to the history of art and current visual culture converge. The composition establishes a dialogue between Leonardo da Vinci's iconic Gioconda and the everyday gesture of the selfie, which has become a symbol of the contemporary experience of the image.

The artist realized this work after documenting for several days the behavior of the public at the Louvre Museum, capturing visitors photographing the work. The pixelated representation of the Mona Lisa responds to this observation, alluding to its perception mediated by screens and digital devices.

Trained in Art and Philosophy between the University of Buenos Aires and the University Paris VIII, Ezequiel Martinez Llaser's work is based on a solid theoretical foundation that dialogues with a precise and demanding pictorial technique.

His work has been presented in numerous international contexts, highlighting his continued participation in the MEAM Museum in Barcelona through several editions of The MEAM Hall, as well as in the Salon International du Portrait at the Bastille Design Center in Paris and in the XIII Biennale of Florence at the Fortezza da Basso. He has also exhibited in spaces such as Galerie Sonia Monti in Paris, Galerie Azur in Madrid, Galerie Art Course in Strasbourg and Espace 6B in Paris, where his project En otro poder was selected as the winner.
