TATIA BOGVELI (Tbilisi, Georgia, 1995).

Measurements: 80 x 50 cm.
A composition of great expressive intensity, centered on the confrontation of two bulls against a dark red background with a strong dramatic charge. Tatia Bogveli constructs the scene through a combination of figuration and material gesture, where the animals emerge from a dense, almost abstract atmosphere, charged with tension and movement.
The bulls are rendered with energetic brushstrokes, dark volumes, and highlights that accentuate the muscular strength of their bodies. The figure on the right, rearing up in the midst of a charge, introduces a clear sense of upward momentum and dynamism, while the bull on the left, lower and more compact, reinforces the idea of collision, resistance, and combat. The dominant red of the background, along with the drips and areas of smeared paint, intensifies the emotional reading of the work.
The piece can be interpreted as an image of struggle, vital energy, and instinctive drive. Beyond the bullfighting motif, Bogveli presents a symbolic scene in which animal strength becomes a metaphor for inner tension, confrontation, and power. The result is a direct and forceful work with great visual impact, where the expressiveness of color and the physical presence of the bulls dominate the composition.
Tatia Bogveli, an artist born in Tbilisi in 1995, creates work linked to contemporary figurative and expressive painting, with a special focus on light, texture, and the emotional dimension of color. In her compositions, the image is constructed through chromatic intensity, pictorial matter, and a poetic sensibility with a strong visual character.
