A 1974 graduate of the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, Ramon Canet held his first solo exhibition at the Ariel Gallery in Palma in 1973. Since then, he has regularly exhibited his work in his hometown, as well as in solo exhibitions in major Spanish cities and in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Stockholm, among others, as well as at international art fairs such as Arco, Art Frankfurt, Chicago International Art, Tokyo Art Expo, Art Asia, Art Cologne, Saga, etc. In 1996, he was selected by the Spanish Embassy in Indonesia to participate in the “Ten of the Best” program, holding a solo exhibition in Jakarta that same year. A founding member of Ediciones 6ª Obra Gráfica, he has made an immense contribution to this field. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Sebastián. In 2002, he was awarded the first-ever Xam-Rotary Club Palma Ramon Llul Prize. Ramon Canet’s work is currently represented in the Es Baluard Museum in Palma de Mallorca, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Madrid, the National Chalcography Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ibiza, among other public and private collections.
