Large in scale and marked by narrative intensity, “Room of Dreams” particularly well encapsulates Dante Guidotti’s dreamlike universe, built upon the intersection of nature, perception, and fantasy. In an interior with profusely ornamented architecture, a female figure appears to rise amid animal creatures and aquatic vegetation, while the presence of celestial bodies and a greenish light transforms the space into a scene suspended between dream and reality.

The composition enhances the upward movement through the draping of the dress and, above all, the hair, which expands until it takes on an almost vegetal appearance. The figure’s pinks and mauves contrast with the reddish and somber tones of the architecture, while cool greens and aquatic reflections intensify the surreal atmosphere. Guidotti takes recognizable elements and subjects them to an imaginative transformation, blurring the boundaries between figure, space, and nature.

Dante Guidotti is a contemporary Argentine artist whose practice centers primarily on oil painting. His work explores the relationship between reality, perception, and the dream world, transforming landscapes and recognizable elements into images of an emotional and surreal nature. He has exhibited in Argentina and, subsequently, in the Netherlands, with shows at Fort Jutphaas in Nieuwegein and CATCH Utrecht. In 2026, he participated in an exhibition at BUAT Gallery in Barcelona.
