Measurements: 89 x 81 cm.
In *Chromo Park (100 Years Later)*, Pau Nubíola combines digital imagery, painting, and material to create a work with a distinctly hybrid character, characteristic of the experimentation the artist pursued during his time in New York. The presence of Rubén Cromo—a character created and incorporated into Nubíola’s artistic universe—places the piece within the context of Monocrom, an interdisciplinary project presented in Barcelona in 2001. The title also introduces a temporal and narrative dimension that reinforces the fictional and performative nature of the work.
Since the 1980s, Pau Nubíola has developed an artistic practice open to painting, graffiti, performance, video, and action. He was a founding member of Los Rinos, alongside Marcel·lí Antúnez and Sergi Caballero, and later participated in Gegant, an internationally active collective focused on pictorial action. After moving to New York in the mid-1990s, he expanded his exploration into new forms of relationship between image, painting, and action. His career has been recognized by institutions such as MACBA, which included Los Rinos in *Acció. Una història provisional dels 90*. His later work features projects related to travel, spirituality, and Tibetan culture.
