"Dream in Monet" was inspired by admiration for the work of the great Impressionist painter. Alfonso Martí reinterprets his painting "Gondola in Venice" (1908): a clearing on the water, a few boats, a mild day—an invitation to pause and look. A serene view where time stands still, and the water, in its infinite rhythm, brings that place to life.
Alfonso Martí’s work is characterized by a contemporary interpretation of watercolor and fluid techniques, combining figuration and abstraction with a special focus on light and atmosphere. He has trained with artists such as Álvaro Castagnet, Julia Barminova, and Roberto Barba. He has received various awards in on-site painting competitions, including first prizes in Gines (2022), Vejer de la Frontera (2023), and the 4th Córdoba International Watercolor Competition (2026), and has held solo exhibitions such as “Graffitti” (2023) and “Dejar fluir” (2025).
