DESCRIPTION
Set of seven cigars; Spain, XX century.
Silver and nickel silver.
They present faults.
Measurements: 3 x 16 x 10 cm.
This set of seven Spanish pureras from the 20th century has a relevant interest from a historical, material and typological perspective. The cigars are a representative object of the utilitarian silverware and of the social habits linked to tobacco consumption, especially significant in Spain in the last century.
The joint presence of pieces made of silver and alpaca allows us to analyze different levels of production, from pieces of the highest material quality and finish to others destined for more everyday use, reflecting the diversity of the market and the recipients.
