BID HISTORY
DESCRIPTION
MONTBLANC 44 WIESE fountain pen, early 1950s.
Marbled gray bakelite.
Nib in 14k gold.
Piston loading system.
Threaded piston (cork).
It presents marks of use and wear.
Measurements: 13 cm (height).
The pen in tender was manufactured in the early 50's by the small Montblanc factory in Barcelona. This is because, after World War II, Spain did not allow any imports of German-made products, so to resurrect Montblanc in this market, the German Wiese family opened a small factory producing original Montblanc pens with rights to all Montblanc patents from Germany.
