The Conklin brand was founded in the USA by Roy Conklin. The Conklin Pen Company was established in 1898 during the golden age of fountain pens, and is still considered one of the most prominent pen manufacturers today. The Conklin brand continues today to create writing instruments of true luxury, design and tradition, and many of the brand's fountain pens today are still powered by the half-moon ink loading system that made the brand famous in its early days.
