Pelikan's "Calculation of Times" fountain pen celebrates the evolution of the concept of time in human history, from the observation of astronomical cycles to the precision of the modern calendar. This commemorative piece is not only a high-end writing instrument, but a work of art loaded with cultural, historical and scientific symbolism.

The design of this limited edition pays homage to how ancient civilizations - such as the Babylonians and Greeks - used the sky to structure their lives. The phases of the moon (new, crescent, full and waning quarter) are depicted in high relief on the cap. In addition, the engraving of a sundial structure with eleven hours marks the relationship between sunlight and the measurement of time; the twelfth hour is symbolically represented on the clip, which functions as a "gnomon," the shadow-projecting rod of sundials.

On the body of the pen, finely decorated in black metal with ruthenium, scenes from the agricultural life of the medieval annual cycle are reproduced, with activities such as sowing, harvesting and the use of natural resources. These engravings are gold-plated and are inspired by the illustrated calendars of the Middle Ages.

The 18K nib not only ensures smooth, high-precision writing, but is also decorated with an engraving of the sun, a central symbol of the passage of time.

This piece was produced in only 760 copies, a number that refers to the birth of Christ, traditionally dated 760 years after the founding of Rome. The edition honors the Gregorian calendar, established in the 16th century and currently used in much of the world.

Each unit is individually numbered, guaranteeing its exclusivity as a collector's item of high historical and artistic value.
