The Omas ID (Industrial Patent SMC) is a limited edition and numbered fountain pen, created by the historic Italian house Omas, in commemoration of the birth of Atelier Simoni. In T2 gray with silver accents, it is part of an exclusive run of 956 units, and represents one of the few true technical innovations in the fountain pen world in decades. Unlike traditional models, the ID incorporates a special SMC membrane and a patented SMC1 locking system, which effectively prevent ink loss, nib drying out and leakage caused by changes in pressure or temperature. Its barrel is made of titanium and advanced silicon-oxygen-based inorganic polymers, ensuring light weight, strength and writing precision. The 18 Kt gold nib, handcrafted in detail, together with the AS monogram on the cap and the individually engraved serial number, underline the connection with Armando Simoni's heritage. The hardwood case completes this piece, paying homage to the first ateliers. The name "ID" carries multiple meanings: personal identity, industrial design, and even references to the Freudian "I" and mathematical functions, making this fountain pen not only a technical instrument, but also a symbolically charged object. Combining tradition, innovation and aesthetics, the Omas ID is a collector's item for those who value mechanical excellence and personal expression through writing.
