The Pelikan Spirit of Gaudí is a limited edition fountain pen that pays tribute to the modernist architect Antoni Gaudí and his emblematic work, the Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, in Barcelona. This edition commemorates the 150th anniversary of Gaudí's birth in 2002 and is limited to 1,000 numbered units, making it a piece of great exclusivity and value for collectors.
The design of the pen is inspired by the architectural elements of La Pedrera. The body of the pen is covered with a sterling silver (925) surface, which forms a sculptural grille similar to the wrought iron gates at the entrance of the building. The cap is black, while the metal details, such as the clip and rings, are finished in silver. The clip is made of nickel silver, while the nib is made of 18-karat gold, fully rhodium-plated, giving it a monochromatic and elegant appearance.
The pen features a plunger-loading system, characteristic of Pelikan's M800 series, which allows for a large ink capacity and a smooth, continuous writing experience.
