The Rotring 1928 Limited Edition fountain pen, launched in 1998 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the German brand Rotring.
Rotring, founded in 1928 in Hamburg, is known primarily for its technical instruments, but also produced innovative fountain pens. Its famous pen line began with models such as the Tintenkuli, and in the 1980s and 1990s it launched fountain pens with a modern, ergonomic design, such as the Rotring 600 and the limited edition Rotring 1928, created in collaboration with Visconti. In 1998, the brand was acquired by Sanford, which resulted in a decrease in fountain pen production, focusing more on technical instruments. Today, its fountain pens are considered collector's items due to their design and historical quality.
