The Kaweco King 2006 is a limited edition fountain pen launched in January 2006, with a production limited to 300 numbered units. This piece pays homage to the classic 1925 design, featuring a lever filler and an octagonal barrel, features that evoke the elegance of the pens of yesteryear.
The barrel, cap and grip section are made of marbled brown celluloid, a noble, high-quality material that gives each pen a unique pattern. The crown at the top of the cap, symbol of the "King" line, is made of solid 925 sterling silver and plated with 18-karat gold (vermeil), adding a touch of distinction and luxury. The clip and filling lever are also 18 karat gold plated, complementing the majestic design of the pen.
The side lever filling system, characteristic of early 20th century pens, allows for efficient loading and generous ink capacity. This historic mechanism is not only functional, but also adds an element of nostalgia and craftsmanship to the writing experience.
