The Parker Duofold Lucky 8 Black GT is a luxury commemorative piece launched in 2008, designed to celebrate Parker's 120th anniversary and focus on the oriental symbolism of the number 8, considered lucky in China. Unlike traditional cylindrical Duofolds, the Lucky 8 features a faceted design - an octagonal geometry that pays homage to the first Parker pens - elegantly carved in black resin with gray veins that make it visually unique.

Each piece was crafted with a smoked black acrylic body, octagonal pattern and 23-karat gold-plated finishes on the clip (the classic Parker arrow), wide cap ring and nib. The latter is made of solid 18-karat gold, engraved with retro motifs and the classic Parker logo from the 1920s. The pen uses a cartridge or converter loading system, true to the brand's modern tradition.

Exactly 3 888 units were produced, in reference to the lucky number in Chinese culture. They were presented in a luxurious octagonal-shaped glossy black lacquered wooden box, which also included a special Parker Quink inkwell, certificate of authenticity and commemorative booklet. Since its launch at the Beijing Olympics (8/8/2008), the Lucky 8 quickly became an object of desire among collectors, both for its original design and its cultural symbolism.
