The Waterman Edson Boucheron fountain pen was made as a symbolic and artistic tribute to the excellence and tradition of two legendary French houses: Waterman, a pioneer in the manufacture of fountain pens since 1883, and Boucheron, an iconic Parisian jeweler founded in 1858.
In the mid-1990s, both brands shared a common vision: to celebrate the art of writing and French luxury craftsmanship. At a time when digital was beginning to take hold, the Edson Boucheron pen was conceived as a tangible reminder of the timeless value of handwriting, elegance and human creativity.
The choice of a limited edition with 3,741 units was not accidental: that number adds the years of foundation of both houses (1883 + 1858 = 3741), making the pen not only a writing instrument, but a piece loaded with symbolism. This edition also marked the pinnacle of the Edson series, a model already emblematic within Waterman, which here is dressed in luxury and jewelry details with the collaboration of Boucheron.
