The legendary Orient Express train, symbol of luxury, mystery and glamour of the 20th century, is honored in this thematic edition by S.T. Dupont. The blue and white lacquer represents the colors of the carriages, while the mother-of-pearl recreates the illuminated windows of the iconic convoy. The clip evokes the train's chimney, enhanced with a blue spinel, and the fine engravings recall the rivets, wheels and stained glass of its bodywork.
The S.T. Dupont Orient Express pen was created as a tribute to the famous luxury train that, from 1883, connected Paris to Constantinople (now Istanbul), becoming a symbol of elegance, mystery and adventure. This limited edition celebrates not only the excellence of the train's design and craftsmanship, but also its iconic role in European history and culture, immortalized in novels such as Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. With this piece, S.T. Dupont pays tribute to the art of traveling in style, to the romanticism of great railway journeys, and to a golden age where luxury and detail were inseparable from the journey.
The rhodium-plated 18 kt white gold nib offers smooth, fluid writing, complemented by a screw cap that protects the ink and maintains the integrity of the piece, with versatile loading by cartridge or converter.
S.T. Dupont, founded in 1872, is synonymous with French craftsmanship and refined luxury. This pen is part of a limited series announced in 2013 and numbered up to 1 883 copies, in reference to the year of inauguration of the Orient Express train.
