In the 50s, in the post-war period and with trade restrictions still latent, Montblanc found in Spain a way to continue writing its history. Under official license, and in the hands of the manufacturer Enrique Wiese in Barcelona, the Montblanc 34 "Made in Spain" was born, a unique piece that adapted the classic German design to local materials and means of production.

This pen represents one of the few examples in which the Montblanc house allowed the manufacture outside Germany, which makes it a piece of high historical and collectible interest. Its fluted celluloid body, in shades ranging from gray, green and marbled brown, combines elegance with sobriety, and recalls the traditional design of the Meisterstück of the time.

The cap, with its German-inspired flat clip and gold-plated central ring, is engraved with the legend "Made in Spain by E. Wiese", an inscription that is as unusual as it is revealing. Its 14-karat gold nib, smooth and precise, completes a piece that, more than a writing tool, preserves the testimony of a singular period in the history of the European fountain pen.
