Montblanc Limited Edition Writers fountain pen commemorating Alexandre Dumas was a French novelist and playwright.
His son Alexandre Dumas was also a well-known writer. Dumas senior's works have been translated into nearly one hundred languages and he is one of the most widely read Frenchmen. Several of his historical adventure novels were published in serial format, such as The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After and The Viscount of Bragelonne. His works total almost 100,000 pages.
Montblanc in 1996 launches a limited series of the collection of writers, this time dedicated its limited edition to Alexandre Dumas.
Montblanc wanted to pay tribute to Alexandre Dumas "father", but had a mistake in the signature engraved on the cap and put the signature of Alexandre Dumas "son", later launched a second piece with the correct signature, so there are two limited series the same but with different signature.
The body is made of noble resin and marble. The cap is made of noble resin Montblanc dark brown clip with the distinctive sword and the author's signature engraved next to the clip. The 18-karat gold nib is decorated with an engraving of the fleur-de-lis.
