This set is part of the Writers Edition dedicated by Montblanc to George Bernard Shaw in 2008, produced in a limited run of just 4,000 complete sets of three writing instruments. The edition draws its primary inspiration from *Pygmalion*, one of the Irish playwright’s seminal works, incorporating the theme of Eliza Doolittle’s transformation into the design of the pieces themselves.

The dark green marbled resin bodies are connected by platinum-plated rings that gradually become more prominent—a design element intended to evoke the protagonist’s journey from her life as a florist to her transformation into a high-society lady. The pen features an 18-karat gold nib decorated with a flower basket motif, another direct reference to Eliza.

The Writers Edition, launched by Montblanc in 1992, is dedicated to great figures of literature and is one of the manufacturer’s most sought-after historical collections among collectors.
