This complete set is part of the Writers Edition that Montblanc dedicated to Franz Kafka in 2004, one of the brand’s most renowned collectible series. Montblanc launched its Writers Edition in 1992, dedicating a limited edition each year to a key figure in literature.

The design is inspired by *The Metamorphosis*: the profile of the writing instruments gradually evolves from a more rounded section to an angular one, transforming the formal metamorphosis into a direct reference to Kafka’s literary universe. The bodies are crafted from very dark red translucent resin and are paired with 925 sterling silver clips and rings. The pen features an 18-karat rhodium-plated gold nib engraved with a motif alluding to “The Metamorphosis.”
