The Longines brand corresponds to the watchmaking company that Ernest Francillon founded in 1867 in the Swiss town of Saint-Imier. The Swiss firm has participated in several Olympic Games of the Modern Age, where its chronometers were chosen as the method of time measurement. Currently, Longines is part of the Swiss group Swatch.
