Pair of 19th century pocket watches, one BRILLANT WATCH and the other LOUIS ROSKOPF.
In silver, metal and nickel.
They need to be tuned.
Measurements: 5 and 4,5 cm.
The Brillant Watch has a silver and metal case. With Arabic numerals and hands highlighted in cobalt blue, its engine is Brevet Volo. It has a knurled crown and a 12 o'clock ring.
The Louis Roskopf watch has a nickel case. The guilloché dial features Arabic numerals contained in golden circles, as well as the seconds hand at 6 o'clock. The hands are highlighted in cobalt blue. It has a fluted crown and a ring at 12 o'clock.
This piece belongs to the personal collection of Don Juan José Ontalva (Chinchón, 1930- Madrid, 2019), a famous watchmaker from Madrid, descendant of several family generations dedicated to the world of watches. During his career he achieved a high degree of precision and skill, becoming the master of other watchmakers. He is currently recognised for numerous works, including the commissioning and restoration of the Billeter astronomical clock, located in the Congress of Deputies.
