The Breitling Jupiter Pilot stands out for its sophisticated analog slide rule, operated by aligning the numbers on the outer rotating bezel with those on the fixed inner dial. Combining both numerical scales generates a mathematical rule of three that allows complex operations to be performed instantly and without digital technology. Aviators of the time relied on this purely mechanical system to calculate critical flight parameters in real time, such as fuel consumption per hour, speed relative to the ground or estimated time of arrival (ETA). In addition, this recorded tool facilitates quick conversion of essential aeronautical units, such as transforming nautical miles to kilometers or knots to miles per hour in full navigation.

In the description of the watches when it is marked "in running condition" it means that the watch is in working order. Since collector's watches often have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general service, overhaul, battery change, adjustment or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. All photographs of our watches are original and have been taken by our photographers, that is to say, we do not work with stock photography and that is why the photographs are considered part of the cataloging.
