DESCRIPTION
FILSON/SHINOLA Argonite 715 Watch.
Made of steel. Black circular dial with hour markers in the form of lines. Central seconds hand highlighted in red. Brown/bronze bezel graduated to 60 minutes. The crystal is a scratch-resistant, domed sapphire with an anti-reflective coating, and the watch is water-resistant to 30 ATM—equivalent to about 300 meters—a remarkable feature that explains its design as a true diving watch. Military green nylon NATO strap, which significantly reinforces its instrument-watch aesthetic. Argonite quartz movement used by Shinola, designed to display hours, minutes, seconds, and the date with high precision and reliability. Argonite 715 movements are assembled in Detroit using Swiss and imported components. Comes with its original case.
The watch up for auction is part of the collaboration between Filson and Shinola, two American brands known for their functional and rugged aesthetic. Specifically, due to its unidirectional rotating bezel and the “30 ATM” marking on the dial, it belongs to the Filson Dutch Harbor diving line, introduced in 2016 and inspired by 1950s sports watches. It was manufactured for Filson by Shinola and hand-assembled in Detroit, combining Filson’s outdoor heritage with Shinola’s watchmaking expertise.
In the watch descriptions, when a watch is listed as “it works,” it means the watch is functioning at the time of listing. Since collector’s watches typically have delicate and complex mechanisms, the buyer is responsible for any general servicing, inspection, battery replacement, adjustment, or repair that may be necessary. We do not guarantee the perfect functioning of any watch. Nor do we guarantee their water resistance, regardless of what the manufacturer or model specifies. All photographs of our watches are original and were taken by our photographers; that is, we do not use stock photography, and therefore the photographs are considered part of the listing.
