Table clock with a pen holder located on the dark-veined marble base and in front of the circular piece that serves as the calendar. The marble in this section and that of the dial frame is much lighter, creating an interesting color contrast with the base and the gilded metal. The dial, with Arabic numerals for the hours and lines for the minutes, bears the clock’s brand name (Bayard) and its country of origin (France).
