Lluïsa Denís i Reverter was a multifaceted artist: Catalan playwright, composer and painter, with a French father who also wrote poetry and theater. She was married to Santiago Rusiñol. She wrote Los cazadores furtivos (1931), Una venganza como hay pocas (1931), and the text and music of several zarzuelas and songs. Part of the work of Lluïsa Denís (paintings and drawings) can be found in the Cau Ferrat Museum in Sitges, the scene of several modernist festivals between 1892 and 1899, which was ceded to the city in 1932, one year after Rusiñol's death, as stated in his will. Among his work we find the theatrical pieces Los cazadores furtivos: comedia en un acto y dos cuadros (1931), Una venganza como pocas: tragedia en un acto (1931); and a compilation of 12 joyful songs with a somewhat spicy character and with cuplé airs that bears the name of L'alegre cantaire. At the end of 1928 he presented his work at the Sala Parés, together with the forger Gerard Alegre Turat and the painter Josep Castellanas Garrich, authors who repeated the experience at the same art gallery two years later. In the catalog of the Jorba Art Galleries of 1929 he is listed as one of the artists who exhibited during the year.
