From a private collection cellar, kept in optimal temperature and humidity conditions.
Founded in 1776 as Dubois Père & Fils, the Louis Roederer champagne cellar is located in the city of Reims, and already in the nineteenth century was appointed supplier of the Russian imperial house by Tsar Nicholas II. One of its most prestigious champagnes is Cristal, created in 1876 by Louis Roederer precisely to meet the tsar's demand. Cristal is produced only in the best years, when the chardonnay (40%) and pinot noir (60%) grapes have reached perfect maturity. It is aged for six years in the estate's cellars, and finally rests for a further eight months after disgorgement.
The images of each lot are the actual images of the object and are therefore part of the cataloguing. Thus, the buyer accepts that the condition of the wines is shown in the images and/or in the cataloging, and that the content and fragility of the cork and the seal are not the responsibility of Setdart Auctions.
